OSAT maintains professional field-measurement capability across acoustics, noise, vibration, RF shielding, thermal imaging, indoor environmental measurements, and specialized diagnostic work.
Rather than publishing a complete equipment inventory, this page describes the measurement capabilities available for project planning. Instrument selection depends on the required standard, frequency range, dynamic range, environment, and measurement objective.
Building Acoustics
- Airborne sound-isolation testing
- Impact-sound testing
- Façade, window, and door testing
- Room reverberation measurements
- Speech intelligibility and speech-privacy measurements
Noise and Frequency Analysis
- A-, C-, and Z-weighted sound-level measurements
- Octave and one-third-octave analysis
- FFT and narrowband analysis
- Tonal and low-frequency investigation
- Time-history and event-based measurements
Vibration
- Structural and equipment vibration
- Multi-axis measurements where appropriate
- Frequency-domain analysis
- Comparative operating-condition measurements
- Long-term vibration monitoring
Source Localization and Sound Intensity
Where conventional sound-level measurements are insufficient, OSAT can use directional or spatial methods, sound-intensity measurements, and other diagnostic approaches to identify dominant radiating areas, leaks, or transmission paths.
RF Shielding
OSAT performs field RF-shielding and continuity-related measurements for shielded rooms and mission-critical facilities using instrumentation selected for the required frequency range and project criteria.
Thermal Imaging
FLIR thermography can document surface-temperature patterns, anomalous hot or cold areas, equipment operating conditions, and before-and-after changes where appropriate.
Long-Term and Remote Monitoring
Long-term monitoring can document noise or vibration over days, weeks, months, or longer periods, with remote data review and optional synchronized sound and video recording where appropriate.
Calibration and Standards
Measurement systems are selected and configured around the applicable test method, project requirement, and field condition. Calibration procedures and instrumentation information are documented in project reports as appropriate to the scope.
