New England Acoustic, Noise, Vibration and Secure-Facility Testing

On-Site Acoustic Testing provides independent acoustic, noise, vibration, RF shielding, secure-facility, and indoor environmental testing throughout New England.

OSAT supports projects across Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Maine for government, military, commercial, industrial, institutional, residential, hospitality, and mission-critical facilities.

New England Coverage

Projects can be supported throughout the region, including Boston and eastern Massachusetts; Worcester and central Massachusetts; Hartford and greater Connecticut; Providence and Rhode Island; Manchester and southern New Hampshire; Portland and southern Maine; and Vermont, including Burlington and communities throughout the state.

Building Acoustics and Sound Isolation

OSAT provides field building-acoustics testing for apartments, condominiums, hotels, offices, schools, healthcare facilities, studios, institutional buildings, and other properties.

  • ASTM E336 ASTC airborne sound-isolation testing
  • ASTM E1007 AIIC impact-sound testing
  • ASTM E966 façade, window and door testing
  • Reverberation-time and room-acoustic measurements
  • Door, wall, floor-ceiling, glazing, and penetration troubleshooting
  • Verification after corrective work

Government, Military and Secure Facilities

OSAT supports federal, military, contractor, and mission-critical facilities throughout New England. Services include SCIF, SAPF and VTC acoustic testing, secure-perimeter sound-isolation verification, troubleshooting of failed assemblies, speech-privacy testing, and RF shielding field verification.

OSAT maintains cleared personnel capable of supporting work in secure and classified environments.

Noise, Vibration and Mechanical-System Testing

Field investigations can address HVAC, generators, pumps, chillers, industrial equipment, building services, transportation sources, construction activity, recreation noise, and community complaints. Work can include short-term diagnostics, source localization, frequency analysis, vibration measurements, and long-term remote monitoring.

Commercial, Industrial and Institutional Projects

OSAT works with owners, architects, engineers, contractors, facility operators, developers, property managers, attorneys, and other project teams on commissioning, troubleshooting, acceptance testing, and documentation of existing conditions.

Recording Studios, Restaurants and Entertainment Spaces

For studios and critical-listening spaces, OSAT can document ambient noise, airborne and structure-borne transmission, reverberation time, and acoustic-treatment performance. Similar field testing is available for restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and other entertainment venues where interior reverberation or sound transmission is a concern.

What Clients Receive

Depending on the assignment, reports can include test methods, measurement locations, instrumentation and calibration information, environmental and operating conditions, measured results, frequency data, photographs, comparison with applicable criteria, identified deficiencies or transmission paths, and retest results.

Discuss a New England Project

Send the project location, facility type, applicable standard or specification, project stage, and testing objective so we can develop an appropriate field-testing program.

Please list the city, state/province, and country where testing will take place.
Select all that apply.
Optional. Examples: ASTM, ISO, ANSI, ICD-705, project specification, code requirement, or acceptance criterion.
If yes, only indicate that secure handling is required. Do not submit classified, CUI, export-controlled, or other sensitive information through this form.
List the project criteria and type of testing required, if known (noise survey, dosimetric, AIIC, ASTC, NIC, air quality, etc.)
