Independent field testing and technical consulting for U.S. military, federal, state and local government facilities, including secure and mission-critical environments.
Military and Government Testing Services
On-Site Acoustic Testing provides field measurement, verification and consulting services for government agencies, military facilities, contractors and project teams throughout the United States and internationally. Our work includes both new construction and existing facilities where objective test data is required to verify performance, investigate a problem or support corrective work.
Secure Facilities
- SCIF, SAPF and VTC acoustic testing
- ICD 705 acoustical testing considerations
- Sound isolation verification for doors, walls, floors and ceilings
- Speech intelligibility and privacy measurements
Facility Testing
- ASTC, AIIC, OITC and reverberation testing
- Noise and vibration measurement and monitoring
- Mechanical and building-services noise evaluation
- Field investigation and performance verification
Design, Construction and Remediation Support
Testing is often most useful when it is integrated with the project rather than treated only as a final acceptance exercise. OSAT can assist during design and construction, review acoustically critical conditions, perform field testing as work progresses, and help identify the transmission paths responsible when completed assemblies do not meet the required performance.
Building plan review and computer-based modeling of walls, floors, windows and other assemblies can also be used to evaluate proposed construction and remediation options before additional work is performed.
Field Testing Where the Project Requires It
OSAT has performed ICD 705-related acoustic testing in military and government secure facilities in the United States and overseas. We work with contractors as well as directly with government organizations and can support individual problem areas, project-wide testing programs and retesting following corrective work.
