On-Site Acoustic Testing provides independent measurement and long-term monitoring for noise complaints involving apartments, condominiums, commercial properties, neighborhoods, mechanical equipment, transportation activity, and other recurring or intermittent sources.
Objective measurement for disputed noise conditions
Noise complaints are often difficult to evaluate from descriptions alone. Field measurements can establish when a sound occurs, how loud it is, its frequency content, how long it lasts, and whether the condition changes with operating schedules, time of day, weather, occupancy, or other site factors.
Spot testing and long-term monitoring
Depending on the complaint, an investigation may combine attended measurements with long-term and remote noise and vibration monitoring. Monitoring can continue for days, weeks, months, or longer where the condition is intermittent or must be correlated with recurring events.

Mechanical and building-system complaints
HVAC equipment, pumps, fans, elevators, rooftop systems, plumbing, generators, and other building systems can produce airborne sound, tonal noise, low-frequency noise, and structure-borne vibration. Combined sound and vibration measurements can help identify the dominant transmission path and operating condition responsible.
Community and neighborhood noise
Investigations can also address commercial operations, recreation facilities, traffic, construction, industrial sources, data centers, and other environmental noise affecting neighboring properties. Measurements can be developed around applicable ordinances, project criteria, baseline conditions, or a documented comparison between operating states.
